The visitors edged ahead in the final minutes to post a 34-32 victory.
“It was pretty close all game, I think ‘Yack’ took the lead by four goals, which was around the biggest margin of the game,” Barnawartha coach Stina Madden said.
“We kept pegging it back, we’d either get two goals up, then it would be even, then they’d get two goals up.
“It was from the third quarter where we jumped out to a four-goal lead and they slowly were coming back in the last quarter, but our defenders were outstanding.
“It was a really good four quarters of netball from both teams.”
Georgette Meunier was strong in goal defence, while a newcomer in goals also starred.
“Jessie Braut was probably only in her third or fourth full game of A grade netball and she was outstanding,” Madden said.
