Tallandoon couple Angela and John Mills, who have a poll hereford stud, opened the cafe in Eskdale’s old St Patrick’s Catholic Church on February 12 after a 13-month renovation.
Mrs Mills said the project was held up for seven months by Towong Shire planning hurdles.
She said they had always planned to restore the church building – adding a large commercial kitchen and deck – to pass on to new owners.
“It was a beautiful building and it needed to be done for the community,” she said.
“I’ll love being a patron here.”
The licensed premises is open Tuesday to Sunday.
The Church Cafe Eskdale is being offered for sale by Brian Unthank Real Estate via expressions of interest by 5pm on June 22.
