Frauenfelder, in her first season of A grade, is impressing coach Bridget Cassar.
The teenager was among the early leaders of the Hot Shots award, filling the void of Cassar and Abbey Jones in the front half for the reigning premiers.
“She has the ability to read the ball and be in the right place at the right time,” Cassar said.
“She has a cool head under pressure, and usually takes the best defender every week.”
Despite being one of the youngest in the Pigeons’ line-up, Cassar added Frauenfelder is also showing signs of strong leadership amongst the group.
Meanwhile, Myrtleford young gun Darcy Chellew has been named the Ovens and Murray football rising star award for the month of April.
Alpine Saints’ coach Terry Burgess has been impressed with Chellew’s transition into the senior ranks.
“Darcy has handled the step up to senior football extremely well, he’s fitted into our squad seamlessly and performed well above expectations,” Burgess said.
“His progression has been absolutely outstanding, he’s very composed with the ball in hand and makes smart decisions
“Darcy’s willingness to work hard and learn from the coaches and senior players has really fast-tracked his development.”
Yarrawonga meets North Albury at home this weekend, while Myrtleford hosts Corowa-Rutherglen.
