With Brandyn Phillips leading the way with four goals before being forced off the ground at the last change with a knee injury, the Bulldogs stayed a step ahead of their opponents throughout the clash.
Josh Walters, Hamish Clark and Beau Roberts dominated on the ball.
“The boys played alright in the first half but the second half was a real slog,” Clark said.
“It was probably the coldest game I’ve played in.
“Federal is a pretty good side so it was good to get the win.”
Troy Price and Daniel Hales played well for Federal.
Corryong finished strongly to defeat Tumbarumba by 45 points.
Matt McNamara, Danny Demarte and Steven Wangman played key roles in the victory with Demarte snaring five majors.
Cudgewa defeated Border-Walwa by 94 points.
