Galvin underwent surgery following an incident during the third quarter of last weekend’s shock loss to Lockhart.
It was only his second match of the season after he suffered a broken jaw in a collision with teammate Marty Bahr during the cricket finals.
Galvin was set to celebrate his 18th birthday at the weekend.
