YARRAWONGA midfielder Ely Smith has been rewarded for his consistent form by being called up to play for Victoria Country.
Smith has joined Murray Bushrangers teammates Hudson Garoni, Laitham Vandermeer, Zane Barzen and Mark Marriott in the 26-player squad to meet Western Australia at Geelong on Friday.
The centreman has rocketed into draft calculations over the past month with a string of outstanding performances in the TAC Cup.
Victoria Country will be looking to record their first win of the championships when the clash starts at 4.40pm.
