The Panthers put a poor month behind them with a sizzling nine-goal first stanza, cruising to a 17.14 (116) to 4.6 (30) win on the road.
“Myrtleford has been starting really well, so we focused on making sure we did and our first quarter was obviously a standout,” Lavington coach Simon Curtis said.
Brant Dickson grabbed five goals, while Nick Holman was superb in the first term with three.
Holman was the Panthers’ best, while ruckman Tim Hanna and defender Chris Annett were strong.
Curtis continued his ultra-consistent form, being named in the best for the ninth time in his 11 games.
He missed last week through suspension.
Myrtleford’s own ‘Mr Consistency’, captain Matt Dussin, and Nathan Laracy were the pick of the Saints, while Ryan Crisp added another mark to his highlights reel with a beauty over Dickson.
