Diamonds were quick to open up an early 2-0 lead thanks to goals from young gun Tyler Maiolini in the 14th and 23rd minute.
United found the instant reply through Molly Goldsworthy a minute later, before she followed up with two more in the second half to finish with a hat trick in the thrilling win.
In the weekend’s other game, Wangaratta was a class above Melrose, romping to a 13-1 triumph.
Bianca Mulqueen extended her lead as the league’s leading goal-scorer with another four in the victory.
Christina Mancuso also finished with four, Leanne Branson snared a hat trick, while Caity Rizzo and Tamika Jackson didn’t miss out during the onslaught.
