Spencer dislocated his finger against Wahgunyah a fortnight ago and required surgery after it pierced the skin.
Cats’ coach Damien Wilson is expecting Spencer to be another week away, but will welcome Sam Bowers back into the midfield who has managed just four senior games this season.
“It’s been frustrating the whole season because we haven’t gone two weeks without making a change,” Wilson said.
“Six came in against Wahgunyah (two weeks ago) and seven went out against Beechworth (last week).
“It’s purely through guys not being available or with niggling injuries.
“It’s good to see the reserves are winning and there’s depth on our list, but it’s frustrating from a senior aspect not being able to keep the same side and gel together.”
