A CAR has slammed into a house in Glenroy after hitting another vehicle. Emergency services were called to the Union Road house, west of Burrows Road, about 8pm on Wednesday. The Toyota Yarris hit a brick wall and beam of the home’s garage, near the front door. A structural engineer was brought in to ensure the home was safe. The residents remained at the property. Sergeant Nick Fahy said police would investigate whether a medical condition led to the crash. No-one was hurt in the incident. “It appears alcohol and speed were not a factor,” he said. “The vehicle approached a slight bend, failed to negotiate the bend, and then entered the front yard of the house. “It impact with a parked vehicle in that yard and then continued to the front of the house, causing extensive damage to the garage door and brick work.”
