The category was introduced to the annual awards ceremony in 2011 with the inaugural inductee being the late Maurice Chick, who died foue years later.
Subsequent inductees have been Border Express founder Max Luff, funeral directors Tony and Monica Conway, busline operator Rosalie Martin, builder and developer Colin Joss, engineering business creator John Butko and John Mars, who came to Wodonga from the US more than 50 years ago to start up Mars Petcare.
The Hall of Fame is sponsored by The Border Mail.
The business awards have another 13 categories including outstanding medium to large business, small business, new business, micro business, not for profit-community organisation, young business person and business entrepreneur.
The event is being held at the Albury Entertainment Centre.
