Jill Gallagher AO is preparing for two community forums next week, a general meeting open to all at the Wodonga Arts Space, as well as a community gathering for members of the Aboriginal community at The Cube.

The meetings are being held to inform the public about upcoming phases of the treaty process.

“Traditional owners from north east Victoria can run as representative body candidates,” the commissioner said.

“Aboriginal people from this area will elect representatives.

“People from north east Victoria will influence what happens next when it comes to treaty.”
