Albury United captain Caleb Martin continues to top the men’s award with 23 votes, but is ineligible due to a suspension.
Therefore, Myrtleford’s Jesse Stephens is the provisional leader with 20 votes, while Albury City’s Thorne Maw is closing in on 18.
In the women’s Star Player, Bridget McDiarmid’s chances of going back-to-back are well and truly alive, having earned 19 votes to lead by two from Wangaratta’s Christina Mancuso (17).
Albury City’s Campbell Taylor leads the men’s Star Goalkeeper standings on 32, four clear of Albury United’s Marty Chambers on 28, with Melrose’s Josh Fluss within reach on 27.
Melrose’s Rachael Reitano (28) has a handy six-vote buffer in the women’s goalkeeping race, with Wangaratta’s Jacinta Findlay her nearest rival on 22.
It’s a three-way tie between Martin, Greens’ teammate Aidan Rees and Myrtleford co-coach Matt Park for the men’s leading goal-scorer award, having all booted 10 apiece.
Wangaratta’s Bianca Mulqueen leads the women’s scorers list by eight, having netted 23 goals thus far.
