The River Cottage Australia TV star has teamed up with Nest Cinema Cafe Books to showcase the local nuts, truffles and wines in the Winter Mountain Adventure on July 27 to 29.

The weekend-long program includes an outdoor campfire style cook-up, truffle hunt and chestnut farm tour, a winter feast dinner, a French breakfast cookery class and a hazelnut and berry grove tour.

Chestnut growers will fire up a giant flame roaster on loan from Chestnuts Australia out the front of Nest Cinema for Fireside Friday.

West will cook over the fire with mulled wine on offer around the fire buckets.

It’s free entry but bookings are recommended.  

The armchair cinema will screen a feature at 8pm.

Tumut River Brewing Co and Corowa Whisky and Chocolate will join Tumbarumba wineries to offer tastings on the Saturday night.
