Caroline and Agustin Candusso are the mother-son duo behind PAPEL, which specialises in creating paper wearables and immersive experiences.
“Agustin was two when he started folding,” Ms Candusso said.
Ms Candusso, known as la mamá and creative director of PAPEL, believes in the the power of saying ‘yes’.
“At six he said he really wanted to start a business and I said ‘yes’,” she said.
“He expressed that he wanted to make paper wearables for women to make them feel beautiful.”
Their most recent collaboration saw them team up with international award-winning photographer, Lori Cicchini, who has had work published with titles such as Vogue Italy.
More than 50 hours was spent obsessively sculpting and folding handmade paper to create a body of paper wearables, featuring paper seaweed that enveloped the bodies, a bodice, necklace, two headpiece and a trident.
The result? The love story of the Neptune and Salacia depicted through photos using the paper sculptures.
PAPEL also worked with Gypsygirl Beauty, Sass Hair Dezign and St Prin Jewellery.
