Joos has rocketed through the ranks since taking up the sport six months ago and was delighted to make the final 13-man line-up.
It will be the first time Australia has sent a men’s team overseas to compete in the world championships with the side to compete in pool C against China and Finland.
Joos, 32, has shown dramatic improvement since training fortnightly in Melbourne after previously dabbling in wheelchair tennis, powerlifting and clay target shooting.
“There is a lot of improvement to make before November but I’m looking forward to it,” he said.
“Hopefully they give us some more some ice time in Melbourne so I can train weekly.
“It will be great.”
Australia is using the championships as a stepping stone to the 2022 Beijing Paralympic Games.
