MURRAY Bushrangers coach Leon Higgins says he’s more focused on opening draft possibilities for his players than finishing in the TAC Cup's top four.
Although the Bushrangers are sitting just two premiership points behind fourth-placed Oakleigh, Higgins said he would use the final four rounds to experiment with his line-up.
“We aren’t really looking at the ladder,” Higgins said.
“We are still trying to provide opportunities for players to get drafted.
“If that means we have to shuffle our side around a little we will.
“Obviously playing finals football enhances the prospects of players getting drafted as well so it’s a bit of a balancing act.”
The Bushrangers have named one of their strongest line-ups of the season to take on Eastern Ranges at Shepparton on Sunday.
All-Australian Jacob Koschitzke has returned to play his first TAC Cup match since May 19 while fellow tall Jordan Butts is also back in the side.
Ben Kelly and Dylan Clarke are on the injured list and Matt Walker has NEAFL commitments.
Eastern Ranges have made 10 changes with some of their best players unavailable due to school football commitments.
