The buzzword is spreading fast on the coffee scene

The word is spreading about a recent arrival to the Border's coffee scene.

Since opening only two months ago, Buzzy Beans in North Albury has grown much faster than its owner anticipated.

The North Albury cafe was opened by Chris Riley in Mate Street and operates from a leased shipping container.

Mr Riley said in the two months since opening, the business had changed its range dramatically.

The menu now includes egg and bacon rolls, roast rolls, hot dogs and milkshakes.

"We are seeing continued custom from regulars and having people say that they have heard about it from friends and acquaintances," Mr Riley said.

"The business is growing at a faster rate than I anticipated."

Mr Riley uses White Owl Coffee beans from Albury's The Barista, Baker & Brewer.

“I’ve always had an inkling I wanted to do something with coffee,” he said.

The business, at 775 Mate Street outside the Washup Laundromat, operates seven days.

The venue is pet friendly and there is car parking and a courtesy seating area for customers.
