“The Commercial Albury Ladies Bowling Club has had a very successful season, they have won the Riverina District pennant in grade one, grade three and grade four,” Commercial Club general manager Jeff Duck said.
“On behalf of the board of directors and management of the Commercial Club, we wish all the ladies competing success at the state pennant finals.”
The representatives are as follows:
Grade one; Judy Pressnel, Kath Baggeridge, Kaye Habermann, Marion Bruce (skip), Fortune Warren, Mary James, Hazel Sims, Ann Harvey (skip), manager – Chris Barnes.
Grade three; Kathleen Kohler (substituting for Pat Smith), Sue Thurley, Roma Newman, Pam Worth (skip), Mary Hemphill, Trish Drummond, Heidi Christian, Faye McDonnell (skip), manager – Pam Stuart .
Grade four; Joan Cruickshank, Jean Lieschke, Maeve Ryan, Joan Deuis (skip), Teresa Chalker, Kay Thomson, Hazel Diffenthal, Verna Gherashe (skip), manager – June Methven.
