A trial over the 2014 workplace death of Bradken Resources worker Peter Watson has been delayed again until next year.

The company is fighting the charge of failing to provide a safe workplace and a trial has been listed in the Wangaratta County Court circuit starting in April 2019, expected to last 10 to 12 days.
The Office of Public Prosecutions told the court on Friday the case would focus on expert evidence and the machine would be brought to Wangaratta for the jury.
Judge Trevor Wraight said it was important to finalise the case after so many years for Mr Watson’s family and work colleagues, but WorkSafe cases are not given the highest priority.
“It’s very stressful for everyone,” he said.
