The change, which took effect last month, has quashed speculation the Albury store would be closed by Myer as part of a company review.
Myer and Woolworths supermarket remain owned by Pacific Shopping Centres, which also partly owns the Centrepoint arcade in Olive Street.
The two entities join an Australia-wide stable of similar arrangements by RetPro with Samantha Lambert remaining the centre manager in Albury after previously working for Pacific.
The management change was confirmed by RetPro managing director, Graham Terry, who revealed one of his first jobs was when the Myer store opened in Albury in 1982.
“It is a long-term contract,” he said.
“RetPro manages a lot of shopping centres in country areas around Australia.
“We’ve got one in Warrnambool, Taree, Tweed, a big outlet centre in Canberra and some in Adelaide.”
“We handle centres which need a lot of attention.
“We will be doing the leasing for all the shops and we’re negotiating with Woolworths to do a major re-fit.
“We’re also negotiating with Myer to re-fit their store.
“We’re also looking at bringing some new, better and exciting retailers into the centre.
“Overall we’re trying to improve the mix, but it’s early days.”
Mr Terry said minimal vacancies existed in the Myer Centrepoint complex.
“It is the No.1 centre in the area, there is no doubt about that,” he said.

“It is the best and strongest shopping centre in Albury-Wodonga and we just want to make sure it continues to also be No.1 for fashion.
“Shoppers will notice an improved tenancy mix, a completely different direction in marketing and improved fitouts.”
