Billingsley trapped the ball from a short corner and slotted it into the top right side of the net.
North Canberra hit back later in the contest, but the Spitfires were happy to take a point from the road trip.
They remain sixth on the Capital League ladder with three more games left in the season.
All of those matches are to be played away from home, starting with University of Canberra next weekend, before closing out the season against Old Canberrans and Central.
It didn’t go to script for the Spitfires men on Saturday, who fell 9-0 to a red-hot Wests line-up at Canberra’s Watt Field.
The Spitfires have the next two weekends off before finishing the campaign away to Central, but will likely remain in sixth position.
