James Fallon High School’s 2018 musical The Addams Family hits The Cube Wodonga stage on Thursday and Friday.
Director Anni Gifford said the cast and backstage crew comprised up to 70 students from years 8 to 11, who would bring to life Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday, Pugsley, Uncle Fester and Lurch.
“They’re characters that people recognise and love already,” she said.
“So people got really excited as soon as we said we were doing the production.”
The plot sees Wednesday fall in love with a normal boy from Connecticut who visits for dinner with his parents.
Ms Gifford said the resulting culture clash produced a fun stage show the performers were enjoying.
“There’s classic jitters, but the kids are just taking real ownership of it and loving it so much,” she said.
“They just can’t wait to get the show up in front of an audience.”
