The qualifying final, which is set to be contested between Wodonga Raiders and Wangaratta, will kick off at 6pm.
“It’s exciting,” league general manager Sean Barrett said.
“We see it as a great opportunity to try something different, particularly with no AFL being played.”
The move was confirmed during Monday night’s board meeting.
The Ovens and Murray has also locked in Corowa’s John Foord Oval to host the elimination final on Sunday, September 2.

FOOTBALL: Seniors – 6:00pm Reserves – 3:45pm, U18 – 1:30pm
NETBALL: A Grade – 6:00pm, B Grade – 4:30pm, C Grade – 3:00pm, 16 & Under – 1:30pm
Elimination Final match times
FOOTBALL: Seniors – 2:00pm Reserves – 11:45am, U18 – 9:30am
NETBALL: A Grade – 2:00pm, B Grade – 12:30pm, C Grade – 11:00am, 16 & Under – 9:30am
