Vincent plays three seasonal shows each year at the club – Australia Day, Anzac Day and a Christmas Special – but his busy touring schedule sees him away from home for much of the year and he is looking forward to bringing his unique rock and roll flavour to hometown audiences.
“It will be great to present my show to the locals,” he says.
“With my tour commitments I am never home that much but this time my grand children will get to see their Grandad doing what he loves best, which will be great . They have never seen me in concert.”
The show opens with a country flavour as Vincent sings tracks from his latest album as well as some originals.
In typical Vincent style, the audience is not just treated to great music but also terrific stories and plenty of Aussie jokes.
“As they say if you love what you do you will never work another day in your life,” he says.
He draws on the 60s during part two of the show, including a tribute to American Rock and Roll Legend Gene Pitney. Vincent performed with Pitney on his last five Australian tours and recorded two songs with the music icon.
He also honours Aussie Wild One Johnny O’Keefe during the show.
“When you talk about the 60s we cannot forget the late, great Australian rock and roll legend Johnny O’Keefe who has been gone 40 years this October,” Vincent says.
“His songs excite the audience every time, they never fail.”
As well as his national concert series, for the past six years Vincent has hosted Go See Touring holiday tours around the globe, such as the UK , North America, Thailand, Vietnam and New Zealand.
He will also host tour groups to Italy Singapore and Norfolk Island in the next year.
