Nearly 90 people on Saturday and 70 on Sunday took part in massed choir workshops led by conductor and singer Jonathon Welch at SS&A Albury, with many choristers attending both days.
Welch also oversaw masterclasses with choirs from Albury-Wodonga, Stanley and Yackandandah on Saturday afternoon and conducted two concerts showcasing the weekend’s efforts.
Border Choral Voice, a project by the Rotary Club of Albury North, collected about $9600 to donate towards Wewak Street School’s Music-Ability program.
Committee member Anne Hayward said the fantastic weekend was enjoyed by all.
“Jonathon Welch gave more than what he was asked for, in time and support to choristers and choirs,” she said.
“He was sensational as a mentor.”
Ms Hayward said although less money was raised than hoped for, the Music-Ability program would continue.
