A man is in police custody after a crash in the Wodonga CBD just after midday.
Police responded to a collision involving a red Mitsubishi sedan and a black Proton sedan on the intersection of Lawrence and Hume streets.
A woman in her 20s and a toddler, who were in the Proton, have been taken to hospital in a stable condition.
“Mum’s got some injuries that are minor – soft tissue injuries to the hip and shoulder – the young child seems to have been struck by an object in the back of the car and she has a small laceration to her forehead,” paramedic Paul Bellman said.
“The driver of the other car was assessed, he has some minor soft tissue injuries and he’s going to see his GP.”
A male, who had been in the Proton, was seen handcuffed by police and was taken away from the scene in a divisional van.
