There are already 52 cameras in use in the Albury CBD, but police have identified the Lavington CBD as a high priority area for crime prevention measures.
But a report, which will be tabled at Monday’s council meeting, notes the high cost of connecting Lavington to the system.
Portable cameras could be deployed to Mungabareena Reserve and fixed cameras added to the Kiewa Street car park.
