The 38-year-old had five beers left from a six-pack in his ice box and two vacuum flasks.
One flask was empty but smelt of wine, while the other was three-quarters full of red.
Nance’s arrival at the victim’s North Albury home on July 20 about 4.15pm while clearly affected by the grog put him in breach of an apprehended violence order taken out by his partner of 13 years.
Under the order, in place until December, 2019, Nance is prohibited from coming within 50 metres of his partner for at least 12 hours after drinking alcohol.
Nance pleaded guilty in Albury Local Court and was convicted and fined $1000.
