John Schnelle, of Corowa High School, received a Minister’s Award for Excellence in Student Achievement while James Fallon High School’s Katrina Joss was given a Minister’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.
Ninety-one NSW schools and individuals were acknowledged in the Minister’s and Secretary’s Awards presented on Wednesday.
The awards celebrate role models within the NSW public education system.
A member of the SRC and 2018 school captain, John has previously won the Victor Chang School Science Award and the La Trobe University Young Writers Award.
Mrs Joss, the creative and performing arts head teacher, developed the Riverina Dance Festival, providing performance opportunities for students.
