A double from Grace Ronnfeldt and another goal from Riley Sutherland wasn’t quite enough for the Border outfit to return home with the points and finish the season on a high.
The result meant they slipped below University of Canberra to finish seventh on the league table.
Meanwhile, the Spitfires men were also outplayed by Central, going down 5-0.
They finished the season sixth overall.
Finals commence next weekend with Wests, Old Canberrans, Goulburn and Central rounding out the men’s top-four.
Tuggeranong, Old Canberrans, St Patrick’s and ANU will contest the women’s finals.
The Spitfires men’s and women’s presentation night will be held at Albury’s Albion Hotel on October 12.
