“If it wasn’t for blood donors, I wouldn’t be here today,” she said.
Mrs Davies, 62, of Wodonga, visited Australian Red Cross Blood Service’s Albury centre yesterday to say thank-you during National Blood Donor Week.
About 150 people will be honoured at Thursday’s milestone function for making 50 donations or more.
Border donors gave 12,500 blood and plasma donations in the past year.
In 2005 Mrs Davies needed 10 to 15 units of donated blood as she underwent a lifesaving liver transplant.
“And now I realise how important it is, it’s a very good thing to take on board,” she said.
Her daughter is now a blood donor while her husband also donated 100 times.
