The Farrer MP travelled to Byron Bay for the event in late-July to appear on the special Q and A panel hosted by the ABC’s Tony Jones.
The latest register of members’ interests statement revealed she was given four complimentary festival tickets as part of the appearance.
Asked by The Border Mail if she saw any bands at the festival, Ms Ley focused on her appearance on the panel.
“Spending most of the time travelling Farrer or in Canberra for Parliament, it is always good to hear a broader perspective on current issues, particularly from younger Australians,” she said.
“Being invited as a speaker for the very popular Q and A session certainly gave me a chance to do this and while it was part of a work trip, the allocation of a complimentary family pass for all the panellists required me to declare this as a ‘gift’ or donation.”

Her latest register of members’ interests statement included gifts such as a Google Home Chromecast device, King Valley prosecco from St Matthew’s Church and suncreen from the Bristol-Myers Squibb pharmaceutical company.
