Coutts signed on as coach of North Geelong Warriors at the midway point of the NPL 2 West season and has them in second spot heading into the final round of the league season on Saturday.
The Warriors jumped into contention last weekend after a thrilling come from behind 3-2 victory against Werribee City, with St Albans dropping to third after its 5-0 loss to league champions Altona Magic.
St Albans take on eighth-placed Brunswick City, while North Geelong meets Ballarat City, who sit ninth.
Whoever finishes second will face NPL 2 East runners-up Moreland City in a playoff fixture, with the winner to meet Green Gully for a place in next year’s NPL competition.
Myrtleford star import Tom Youngs is set to trial with the Warriors after the season as he looks to step up from the AWFA to NPL.
