It will be part of the sixth annual collaborative brew day this month involving Victoria’s High Country Brewery Trail’s eight breweries.
High Country Brewery Trail’s newest member, King River Brewing will host Black Dog Brewery from Taminick, Blizzard Brewery from Dinner Plain, Bridge Road Brewers from Beechworth, Bright Brewery, Rutherglen Brewery, Social Bandit Brewing Company from Mansfield and Sweetwater Brewing Company from Mount Beauty on September 18.
In a nod to the King Valley’s Prosecco-producing traditions, the brewers will craft an unusually dry IPA using Prosecco yeast.
Inspired by the new Brut IPA style, which is making waves across the craft brewing scene in the US and Australia, the new brew will meld the High Country’s skill for making wine and beer.
The new brew will be sold under the High Country Brewery Trail label, Rule #47, at participating breweries before Christmas.
