Raiders run the ball more than any team, with a stack of speedy players, including wings Jackson Kelly and Brad St John, along with defender Shane Munro.
“They’ve based a lot of their game around pressure, which is probably pretty similar to us and that’s certainly lifted for them this year,” Tigers’ co-coach Shaun Daly said.
“I reckon it (pressure) was there last year, but it’s certainly improved this year.
“You look at the way Richmond has gone about their pressure this year and last, it just helps you get the ball back.”
Raiders ambushed Wangaratta last week, which isn’t surprising given the Pies had played the five bottom teams and certainly never had to face that frenetic pressure.
The prospect of the two teams with the greatest pressure-based games, on a sunny day, is thrilling.
