LOCKHART’S fairytale run is showing no signs of slowing down.
The Demons advanced to the Hume league’s preliminary final with a 55-43 victory over Murray Magpies in the minor semi-final at Walbundrie on Sunday.
Centre Erina McPherson led the way with a best on court performance while Holly Murphy also impressed.
Murray Magpies were far from disgraced particularly after they lost two key players during the season.
Billabong Crows are odds-on favourites to win the flag after defeating Rand-Walbundrie-Walla 59-41 in Saturday’s major semi-final.
After an even first term, the Crows powered clear on the back of good showings from Beck O’Connell, Rikki Robb and Brooke Wilson.
Tall shooter Lisa Tobin tried hard for the Giants.
They will be further strengthened by the return of star defender Holly Dowling for the grand final.
