In women’s soccer, Albury United couldn’t hold out against Wangaratta in the senior women’s semi-finals with Albury City going through over St Pats while in the men’s semi-finals Myrtleford was too good for Melrose and Boomers outplayed Wangaratta. In the Ovens and Murray league, Albury went through for their 10th straight grand final while Wangaratta will face Wodonga Raiders in the preliminary final after beating Yarrawonga. In netball, Wangaratta caused a major upset beating Lavington to book their place in the Grand Final and Yarrawonga too good for Albury. In the Tallangatta and District league, Thurgoona beat Barnawartha to play in the grand final and ... a player on the run during the Hume league match between Henty and Brock Burrum with Brock Burrum through to the grand final. Last but not least, Bullioh stormed home to defeat Federal in this year’s Upper Murray grand final.
