The 23-year-old polled eight votes in the final round against North Albury to leapfrog Joe Hansen by five.

Filliponi finished runner-up as a 17-year-old to Jamie Seymour and then finished second to Kade Kuschert, who racked up his 300th game in that loss to North.
Meanwhile, Simon Lavis won the reserve grade gong, while James Tanner edged out his twin Matt to claim the under 18 award.
In netball, Sophie Hanrahan snared the A grade best and fairest from Zoe McLeish.
McLeish finished the season with 359 goals from 459 attemps, finishing with the equal second-best shooting percentage of 78.
Kiara McLean won B grade, Grace Hanrahan claimed C, while Zali Spencer nabbed the 16 and under title.
