Levels of the chemicals have been found to exceed guidelines in the area.
The substances were traditionally used in firefighting foam at army sites.
The community was notified of a detailed site investigation in August 2017.
The findings will be unveiled on September 17.
A meeting will be held at Huon Hill, on the corner of Reid and Havelock streets in Wodonga, on the same day.
“Members of the investigation team will be available to discuss with the community the findings of the detailed site investigation and the next steps in the environmental investigation process,” Defence said in an advertisement in The Border Mail.
