The dress code is 19th century Victorian for the supper concert, which will include an “appearance” by famed singer Dame Nellie Melba.
A community campaign earlier this year recovered the organ originally installed in the hall 132 years ago.

Musical director Sandra Williams said the event evoked the hall’s history of social entertainment, from smoke nights and informal sing-a-longs to programs hosted by Beechworth Philharmonic Society.
“The pipe organ, which was classified by the National Trust in March 1981 now stands in the very footprint it occupied on the Beechworth Town Hall stage from 1886 to approximately 1908,” she said.
“I imagine it would be like the people of Stratford-upon–Avon rediscovering and rescuing a lost Shakespearean manuscript after 132 years.”
