BO: You have only dropped one game since the halfway stage of the season. How do you explain the major form reversal?
HM: We’ve got ourselves playing together as a team. We have been really committed to training. At the start of the year we weren‘t really together as a team. Then we bonded and have got better.
BO: What’s the vibe going into the match against Rand-Walbundrie-Walla?
HM: We are a bit nervous, but we know we can beat them so we’re hoping for the best.
BO: Have you had much finals experience as a junior?
HM: I played finals last year but we got knocked out first round. Other than that not really.
BO: You were best on court in Lockhart’s first finals win. Tell me about that experience.
HM: It was a massive surprise. I thought Michelle Hewitt had it for sure. I was happy with it obviously but it was a major surprise.
BO: You are 16 and playing with a lot of maturity. Were you surprised to be nominated for the Rising Star award?
HM: I was, especially playing A grade. Everyone is so good in the league and I didn’t think I would get noticed with so many good players.
BO: Being in Year 11, what’s your goal after school?
HM: I’d like to have a gap year and then I want to become a police officer. I’d love to do that.
BO: Good luck on Saturday
