An intellectually disabled woman told police she had been targeted by a man, with officers treating the incident as an extortion or blackmail offence.
She said she had been forced to hand over money to the man.
Acting Sergeant Andrew Leonard stressed two women seen at the Birallee McDonald’s on February 5 last year were not suspects.
“I believe that they’re witnesses to a situation that occurred inside the store,” he said.
The pair arrived in a silver or gold Toyota Corolla and Mitsubishi Magna.
