From October 10, the Upper Murray River crossing will halt daily from 10am to 10.20am, 12.40pm to 1pm and 6pm to 6.30pm for the ferry driver to eat.
Albury MP Greg Aplin said the breaks were part of a new three-year contract awarded to Ferrymen (Port Macquarie) Pty Ltd.
"The NSW Government is also improving amenities for ferry drivers by installing new toilets," he said.
