“I thought our execution with the footy was poor,” he said.
“We just had so many opportunities to put them in, periods of the game where we could have kicked three or four (goals) clear, but we just butchered the footy and it came back to haunt us, to be honest.”
Raiders had a 14-point lead on two occasions in the second quarter.
The youthful outfit was just 57 seconds from playing in Sunday’s grand final until unlikely Albury match-winner Brady Morton kicked the winning goal in the second semi.
