INTENT will premiere at the Impact Dance Lab as part of the Emerging 3 showcase.
Projection Dance School Junior Artist Program dancers will present the 17-minute, student-derived work.
India Stewart has choreographed INTENT with her peers Peter-John Simmonds, Laura Trebley, Casey Wallis, Jaimee Heffernan and Molly Parnell.
Stewart won the junior choreographic competition in Dance Architect 2017.
INTENT is derived from our inability to complete tasks we have set to accomplish, this happens both consciously and subconsciously.
Having danced for 15 years, Stewart began her training in Wollongong at the Joanne Grace School of Dance.
She was accepted into the Projection Dance, Junior Artist program early this year.
INTENT will be performed at Impact Dance Lab (155 Melbourne Road) on Thursday at 6.30pm.
It will also be performed at Transit Dance Theatre in Brunswick on October 5-7.
