The Rovers, boasting a platoon of young talent including Leo Dean medallist Ed Dayman, will take on Yarrawonga in the O&M Thirds grand final on Sunday.
Coach Justin Gorman said very little had separated the two sides throughout the season, with the Rovers taking the points during the home and away season and the Pigeons claiming a nail-biting semi-final win.
“The games we played throughout the year really could have gone either way, and they were just too good for us in the final a couple of weeks ago,” Gorman said.
“I think it’ll be a really good junior final.”
Several players from both sides played senior matches during the season, including Dayman, who took out the league medal despite only playing in 10 games.
The thirds decider starts at 9am.
