After winning only three of their opening nine matches, the Demons charged home to sneak into the finals under the coaching of Jose Webb.
“It took a long time to settle,” Webb said.
“Our range of players is from 14 to around 40.
“We got our combinations right and have some self-belief now.”
Webb went down from a knee reconstruction in round four which opened the door for Ruby Bouffler to push into the top grade.
The Crows won their only meeting during the season 44-11 in round five.
