Dunn was a clear winner of the top honour, polling in 20 of 28 games during the season.
He was also voted players’ player by his peers and was the only member of the squad to play every minute of every game this season.
Dunn admitted it was his best season at Murray United and has already put pen to paper for a fifth year at the Border club.
“I want to be the best player on the pitch and every game I go in with that mentality,” Dunn said.
“A lot of that is down to the coaching of EJ (Murray coach Elliot Jones), I’ve developed a lot as a player and I’m always learning.
“That was the main reason I signed on again because he was going to be there.
“I’ve been here pretty much since it (Murray United) started, so it’s going to be another challenge and we’re looking forward to it.
“The awards are brilliant, but the main thing is the team finishing well.
“If we can get top-five next year that will beat any award I get personally.”
Jones was thrilled for Dunn and admitted he thoroughly deserved both awards.
“He’s had a really consistent year and I don’t mind saying that he won the best and fairest by a mile,” Jones said.
“He sets the standard in everything we do, he’s our best trainer, he works the hardest and does extra.
“When he gets out on the park he leads with actions.
“I’m really proud of what ‘Dunny’ has achieved this year and going into next year he was the first signature I wanted to get.”
Sam Brosolo was the under 20s best and fairest and Jack Milford players’ player.
Other coach’s awards and players’ players went to: Under 12 – Ryan Kemp and Mitchel Spokes; under 13 – Harrison Watson and Cameron Lee; under 14 – Brodie Porta and Wil Finlayson; under 15 – George Hamilton (both awards); under 16 – Steve Fidele and Joshua Perry; under 18 – Joshua Perry and Adam Jordan.
