YARRAWONGA gained revenge for last year’s grand final loss to Wodonga Raiders by running out 68-point victors in the reserve grade decider at Norm Minns Oval.

After going down by 20 points last season, the Pigeons were quick to make amends by slamming on six goals to none in the opening term.
“It was a good toss to win with the breeze,” coach Tim Seal said.
“We got lucky there.
“I was still stressing all game, but it helped.”
Yarrawonga led by 37 points at the first change and were never threatened with best-on-ground Matt Gorman dominating with five majors.
Cameron Tregenza was equally as effective across half-back.
“They were all great,” Seal said.
“There were eight players in this side who played in our under-18 premiership and we now want them to go on and be part of a senior premiership.
“That’s the path we are taking.”
Mitch Cowan and Jaxon Neagle were solid contributors for Wodonga Raiders.
